Yoga is a practice that incorporates awareness of body, mind, soul, and heart.

My Yoga Journey

It took me years to finally go to a yoga class. I let my fears prevent me from going. I thought "What if I'm not flexible enough? What if I'm doing it wrong? What if people notice me?"

Sound familiar?

I finally took a class, and then another, and then another. Before I knew it, I was hooked. Sure, I was becoming more flexible, gaining strength, improving my balance. But what really made a difference was the effect on my mind.

I found myself able to cope with anxiety better. I became more centered and grounded into the present moment. I began to feel the connection between my mind, heart, and body. I began to understand my authentic Self and Soul in a deeper way.

Many years into my personal practice, I began a 200-hour teacher training in 2015. Life circumstances prevented me from completing the initial training only a few hours shy of my certificate.

I was able to teach privately and with my clients. eventually, I decided to deepen my practice and complete a program to receive my RYT-200.  I began a second program in 2018 at Blue Ridge Yoga in Knoxville, TN, graduating in Spring of 2019 with my RYT-200 hour. In 2021, I completed the 500-Hr RYT through TULA Yoga's 300-Hr Program in Aberdeen, NJ.

My yoga journey brought me to Bali, Thailand, and Greece to explore the depths of my soul and deepen my understanding and appreciation for this beautiful practice. My interest in Meditation and incoporating Yoga into my therapy is a guiding force in my life.

Over the years, I have found myself focusing on individualized plans on how to incorporate yoga as a lifestyle in the process of embodiment and connection for my clients. It is fulfilling and has deepened my appreciation of this sacred practice.

Style

I teach Vinyasa flow-gentle, beginner, power, and all levels; Restorative and Yin, Pre- and Post- Natal, Meditation, Chakra Balancing, and Breathwork/Pranayamic techniques.

As a Reiki II certified Practitioner, I often incorporate Reiki Healing, Chakra balancing, crystals, and essential oils into my classes. 

One-on-one sessions are truly the best way to get tailored instruction. Focusing on individual anatomy, physical and emotional conditions, a private session is a class designed just for you! In 60-90 min sessions, you and I will work on what you need most, whether it’s flexibility, back pain, slowing down, grounding, meditation, strengthening, or deepening your spiritual practice.

Yoga can be lots of fun with a group of friends or colleagues! If you would like a yoga class at your place of work, club, party, or event, please get in touch. Rates vary upon location, travel time, and group size and are offered in 60-120 minute lengths.
